1. What the AI Features do

Apeiro IQ includes AI Features that you choose to turn on. They can:

  • answer phone calls and messages, ask the questions you set, and book appointments on your calendar;
  • draft and send texts and emails;
  • build forms, pages, automations and campaigns when you describe what you need; and
  • transcribe and summarize calls and conversations.

The AI Features run on AI models from third-party AI model providers. This policy is part of our Terms.

2. AI can be wrong

AI output can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Review what the AI drafts or says before you rely on it, and check the settings and messages of any AI agent before you turn it on. AI output is not legal, tax, financial, lending or brokerage advice.

3. You must tell people they are talking to AI

When an AI agent talks or texts with someone for you, you must tell them they are interacting with AI and not a person. AI call answering should say so at the start of the call. AI chat on your site should be labeled as AI.

4. Offer a person

Give people a way to stop talking with the AI and reach a person, for example by asking for one, replying to a text, or calling your business line.

5. Decisions AI may not make alone

Do not let AI make or rank decisions with legal or similar effects on people unless a qualified person reviews each one, including:

  • approving, denying or ranking a rental or purchase application;
  • credit, lending or financing decisions;
  • legal advice or legal conclusions; and
  • personal investment recommendations.

AI must never be used to steer or screen people in ways that break fair housing law.

6. Other uses that are not allowed

  • Pretending to be a real person, or cloning anyone’s voice without their written permission.
  • Deceptive or misleading campaigns, fake reviews or fake engagement.
  • Putting health records, Social Security numbers, full bank or card numbers, or other sensitive data into AI prompts or conversations, except where a feature is built for it.
  • Anything the Acceptable Use Policy does not allow.

7. AI voices and consent

Under federal law, AI-generated voices count as artificial voices. Calls placed by an AI agent to a person’s phone need the same consent as prerecorded calls, including prior express written consent for marketing calls. Inbound calls answered by an AI agent still need the AI disclosure in section 3.

8. Recording and transcripts

AI call answering records and transcribes calls. Tell callers at the start of each call that it is recorded. Some states require every person on a call to agree before it is recorded; when you call or answer people in those states, get that agreement first. You decide how long recordings and transcripts are kept in your Workspace.

9. How your data is used by AI

To produce an answer, draft or summary, the content needed for that task is sent to an AI model provider. Providers may use it only to provide their service to us.

AI training. We do not use Customer Data to train AI models ourselves. AI Features can use models from several AI model providers, and the models available can change at any time. We do not control how AI model providers handle data. Each provider’s own terms decide whether it keeps data, for how long, where it processes it, and whether it may use it to train its models, and a provider can change those terms. Where a provider or our software platform offers a setting that stops customer data from being used for training, we turn that setting on by default. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible for how a provider uses data under its own terms; see “Service providers and connected tools” in our Terms.

10. The IQ

The IQ, our planned business brain, is not available yet. Joining the waitlist is not a purchase. When the IQ opens it may be offered as a beta with its own terms, and it may change before or after launch.
